B: IN-DEPTH CONSULTATION

Schedule a 90-minute session where I meet with your family to assess your student’s progress to date to identify strengths and areas to be developed. You can also get answers to your specific college admissions questions. Following the meeting, I will provide a personalized plan to maximize your student’s success, covering these topics and more:

  • High school course selection that includes rigor, trends, trajectory, and interests

  • Test strategies and timing for ACT, SAT, and AP exams

  • Extracurricular activities valued by college admissions, including summer enrichment,

    leadership, community service, internships, and passion projects

  • Tips and resources to start preparing now for college applications

C: COLLEGE LIST & ADMISSIONS STRATEGIES

This eight-week service begins with the included IN-DEPTH CONSULTATION and ends with my providing a college list that matches your student’s individual needs and interests. To maximize chances for admission, I will also deliver strategies customized for your student. I will:

  • Explore your student’s criteria and preferences for college types, locations, academic

    majors, and careers

  • Research match, safety, and reach colleges to form a balanced list

  • Analyze options to optimize financial aid, tuition discounts, and scholarships

  • Form strategies for Early Action (EA), Early Decision (ED), and Regular Decision (RD)

  • Prepare your student to engage in college fairs, visits, and information sessions

D: APPLICATION COMPLETION

For a high school junior or senior who already has a balanced list of colleges, we can start with the included IN-DEPTH CONSULTATION and end with completed college applications. I will:

  • Organize application requirements and keep your student on track to meet deadlines

  • Advise on selecting writers for letters of recommendation and assembling activity lists

  • Refine strategy for EA/ED/RD application submissions

  • Guide your student through the CommonApp and school-specific applications

  • Recommend effective ways for your student to demonstrate interest

  • Brainstorm essays and assist with editing

  • Help with college requests for additional information and other college communications

  • Prepare your student for admissions interviews

E: COMPREHENSIVE PACKAGE

This full-service package comprises all services described in sections A-D above, including the IN-DEPTH CONSULTATION through APPLICATION COMPLETION. Your student will also have extensive access to me via meetings, emails, texts, and phone.

HOURLY CONSULTATION

A la carte hourly service is available for those seeking information and professional guidance on a specific piece of the college process, such as course selection, extracurricular activity development, or essay editing.
